Meet Charisa

Hello! I am Charisa Ausfahl

originally from small town Alvin, Texas- located between Houston and Galveston, and home to the great baseball pitcher Nolan Ryan. My Dad, who spent his career at Johnson Space Center, taught me to dream big and follow the Lord- even if that meant from a console in Mission Control. My Mom, who devoted herself to being on the boards of several non-profits while still homeschooling me and my two younger sisters from kindergarten through highschool, taught me a love and compassion for people.

I attended Cedarville University in Ohio and graduated with a BA in Elementary Education. I married my college sweetheart Philip back in 2001. We have 5 amazing children: three are homegrown and two we adopted internationally. Regardless of how God brought each of them into our home, they are all an incredible gift we treasure.

But the real foundation of who I am, the motivation for everything I do, is the fact that I am a believer in Jesus Christ. I believe my calling in life is to 1) Love God and 2) Love Others. That applies to my photography business as well. I believe that is why people find it easy to relax and be comfortable in front of my camera- for clients to leave as friends.

I believe that the one and only God, who is holy, made us in His image to know Him. He wants a relationship with His creation! But we aren’t perfect, have all sinned and cut ourselves off from Him. In His great love, God became a man in Jesus, lived a perfect life, and died on the cross, taking on Himself the punishment for the sins of all those who would ever turn and trust in Him. He rose again from the dead, showing that God accepted His sacrifice and that God’s wrath against us has been exhausted.

That gift of forgiveness is offered to all, regardless of past history. That gift is offered now, regardless of present circumstances. He loves us that much! All one must do is accept His gift of forgiveness. It is the easiest and the hardest thing to do.  It is hard to admit I am a sinner, need His forgiveness, and humble myself to accept that gift. When we die, stand before God, and are judged whether we can be let into Heaven, we can know that God will see that Jesus has already paid the punishment for our sins- if we have prayed and accepted that gift of forgiveness.

If anyone wants to discuss this with me, please just ask. Or, you are welcome to follow this link to Pastor Jeremiah’s website full of more information and resources.
